Founded on the principle that every child deserves a chance at a brighter future, our mission is to build a global community where reaching that future is attainable even for the most vulnerable children.

Every child, regardless of their circumstance, deserves the opportunity to reach their fullest potential.
For children transitioning out of orphanages and those in out-of-care situations, this journey can be particularly challenging. Without traditional family and community safety nets, they often face an uphill battle navigating adulthood on their own. But their stories don't have to go that way.

Here at Krysalis Foundation, we are not just about meeting immediate needs, but aim to build long-term solutions that empower these children to grow into self-sufficient adults, and to properly transform the lives of the children we serve and help them transition from dependency to self reliance, we take a holistic approach that addresses every key area that has been overlooked, equipping children with both the practical skills and the emotional support they need to navigate life beyond care institutions and the harsh environment they have been exposed to.

What We Do

Skills Development

We provide hands-on training in various vocational and life skills, enabling children to become self-sufficient and prepared for the workforce.

Mentorship and Support

Our holistic approach includes mentorship programs that offer emotional support, guidance, and a sense of community, to help these young adults navigate the challenges of transitioning out of care and create a sense of belonging in children who have long been out of care.

Advocacy

We advocate for the rights and well-being of out-of-care children, working with local communities, governments, and international organizations to create systemic changes that will be inclusive of the people we serve.

Our mission is to empower children leaving orphanage homes and out-of-care environments by providing them with essential skills, resources and educational opportunities that will enable them become self-sufficient individuals who contribute positively to society.

Pre-2024 Initiatives:

  • Community Engagement and Support:
    Collaborated with local organizations to provide educational support and skill development workshops for vulnerable children.
    o Organized outreach programs that reached hundreds of children in need, focusing on education, combating hunger, and vocational training.
  • Skills Training Programs:
    Ran informal training sessions in crafts, vocational skills, and entrepreneurship for out-of-care children, helping them gain independence and self-sufficiency.
    Mentored young adults transitioning out of care, offering guidance and support to help them integrate into society.
  • Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns:
    Spearheaded campaigns to raise awareness about the challenges faced by out-of-care children, including women and girls, bringing these issues to the attention of policymakers and the public.
    Building on these experiences, the Krysalis Foundation was officially registered in 2024, formalizing our commitment to empowering out-of-care children. Our ongoing mission is to transform limited resources into limitless possibilities for these children, leveraging the expertise and insights gained from years of hands-on work.
